Building an efficient test suite that tells the story and helps detect defects isn't always easy and straight-forward. Using the right tool and approach can be deciding factor depending on the context.
In this session, I'll share my experience of adopting Playwright to regain control over a sizeable front-end application for insure-tech back-office operations.
We'll explore the basic setup and the tools Playwright provides to help build good and maintainable tests.
I'll focus on functional application testing, outlining techniques that helped us isolate tests from external dependencies.
I'll briefly compare using Playwright with Cypress and Jest-like testing frameworks based on personal experience.
